Project Summary

High Beauty, a clean skincare startup built around nutrient-rich hempseed oil, was growing fast but its design process couldn’t keep up. Each campaign was supported by only a handful of graphics, and the creative team was struggling to scale content production without burning out.

I was brought in to rethink the design process. My goal: expand creative output without sacrificing quality or brand consistency. Through a combination of brand-driven design systems and streamlined project workflows, I transformed how High produced campaign visuals - from 1-2 static graphics per campaign to fully realized creative suites.

Designing for Scale

I created an internal design system with reusable components, auto-layout structures, and brand-approved color and typography variables. This allowed us to spin up assets for emails, blogs, landing pages, and social campaigns in record time - without ever deviating from the brand's sleek, ingredient-first aesthetic.

The result: fewer one-offs, more consistency, and a significant speed increase in content creation. We were finally able to show up across every channel with beautiful, cohesive creative that didn’t require starting from scratch every time.

Campaigns as Brand Moments

With at least three promotional campaigns per quarter, often tied to seasonal events or cultural moments, High needed a nimble way to launch visually cohesive sale campaigns without reinventing the wheel.

Thanks to our templatized design system, spinning up graphics for these sales became a fast, flexible process. We could easily re-skin key templates with holiday-specific themes, adjust layouts for unique promotions, and deploy full graphic suites (email banners, social stories, hero images, blog graphics) in a matter of hours - not days.

Whether it was Memorial Day, Earth Day, or a last-minute flash sale, the creative always looked intentional, high-impact, and unmistakably on-brand- while requiring minimal turnaround time from the design team.

Making the Work… Work!

Simply upgrading the visual process wasn't enough, though - we needed to update the project management process also. I introduced Asana as a source of truth for the design team, building out task templates, training the entire team on best practices, and eliminating guesswork for creative requests. Suddenly, everyone from marketing leads to external partners had visibility into campaign timelines, creative status, and what info was needed to kick things off.

Creative work moved faster, required fewer back-and-forths, and gave leadership confidence that every campaign would go out polished and on time, every time.

Where We Landed

High’s lean team gained a big-brand output. With scalable templates, clear processes, and fewer bottlenecks, we were able to deliver polished creative—at pace—with a fraction of the usual overhead.
