Project Summary
In-person events were a key lead generator for Censys, but our presence on the show floor didn’t match the polish and precision of our product. Working in close collaboration with our Head of Events, VP of Product Marketing, Co-Founder and CEO, I spearheaded a modular design strategy that allowed our team to scale, swap, and tailor our booth designs for different audiences whether it was a 10x10 booth at a government-focused event or a 20x30 booth at a large-scale enterprise showcase.
Building a Modular System
Our solution: an “event-in-a-box” kit composed of tension banner backwalls, use-case-specific standing banners, audience-tailored print collateral packages, and a flexible messaging framework. This gave our teams the ability to create a tailored booth experience on the fly, highlighting the right messaging for the right audience every time.
Backwalls targeted top-level awareness with vertical-specific headlines, standing banners offered product-specific info for deeper engagement, and a curated table experience tied it all together with informative collateral and thoughtfully selected swag.
A Plug-and-Play Framework
For larger events, we leaned into scalable systems, building out a set of reusable assets like branded cabinets, counters, and tabletops. We pre-baked design flexibility into each piece, ensuring last-minute print specs or fast turnarounds were never a blocker.
Smart Swag, Lasting Impressions
Alongside the Head of Events, I helped redefine our swag strategy: no more throwaway trinkets. Instead, we offered thoughtful, rejuvenating items (think charging cables, reusable water bottles, or even healthy snacks) to connect with visitors in a meaningful, useful way and build longer-lasting impressions.
Where We Landed
A flexible, repeatable event system that empowered Censys to show up strong no matter the show, audience, or footprint. Eye-catching, on-brand, and adaptable, our new events package made Censys a standout presence on every floor.
